Police Recover Stolen Motorcycle in North Miami as Pattern of Bike Thefts Emerges Across South Florida

A medical student in Hollywood lost her $7,000 motorcycle just 12 days after purchasing it when thieves struck outside her apartment building around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Isabella San Juan captured the theft on surveillance footage showing a white van bearing a Comcast decal pull up and take the bike within minutes. The third-year medical student said the motorcycle represented nearly all of her savings accumulated before starting medical school, leaving her with no immediate means to replace it.

San Juan’s social media posts about the incident led her to connect with another victim, a man identified as Aiden, who discovered his $15,000 motorcycle had been stolen from outside his Miami apartment building around 2:45 a.m. Saturday. Aiden’s bike was equipped with a tracking device that guided him to a North Miami residence, where authorities located the motorcycle in the back of a van parked at the property. North Miami police recovered both the motorcycle and the white van, though no arrests have been made at this time.

The license plate on the recovered van matches the vehicle visible in San Juan’s surveillance video, suggesting the same theft operation may be responsible for multiple bike thefts across the region. San Juan expressed hope that her motorcycle would be recovered and returned, stating she would retrieve it from any location without complaint.
