Law enforcement officials have identified Andrew Arrabaca as the suspect in an incendiary device incident that occurred Monday morning outside 26 Federal Plaza in lower Manhattan, according to two sources briefed on the investigation. The attack targeted a facility housing U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services operations.
Investigators recovered materials associated with anti-immigration enforcement sentiment during the suspect’s apprehension at the scene, the law enforcement sources said. The nature of the device and circumstances surrounding the incident remain under active investigation by federal authorities.
The building in lower Manhattan serves as a hub for immigration-related federal operations. Details regarding charges and next steps in the prosecution have not yet been disclosed as the investigation continues.
