BROOKE HOGAN SAYS ‘I COULD HAVE SAVED YOU’ IN HAUNTING REGRET AFTER HULK HOGAN’S DEATH”I don’t take CONSTANTLY dragging my name through the mud lightly,” she continued.”The selective amnesia isn’t gonna work.”Brooke ended the message with two words: “Final warning.”The latest flare-up came after Linda shared old family photos on Facebook while expressing her frustration over her fractured relationship with her daughter.”I posted these wonderful photos of Brooke my daughter with me and my ex-husband her father and my mom and dad and really .. the whole family ! Brooke is loved,” Linda wrote.”We feel hurt every day that she just tosses us aside …. like trash,” she continued. “I want to make sure she remembers how it really was .. and can really see how much she was adored and loved.”Brooke’s response suggested she remembers their family history differently and is prepared to make private communications public if the criticism continues. The mother and daughter’s latest exchange is another chapter in a family fracture that has played out publicly for years.PUT YOUR ENTERTAINMENT KNOWLEDGE TO THE TEST AND SEE HOW YOU SCOREBrooke first became famous alongside her parents, Hulk and Linda, and younger brother, Nick Hogan, on the VH1 reality series “Hogan Knows Best,” which premiered in 2005.The show followed the wrestling superstar and his family while also documenting Brooke’s budding music career and her father’s protective approach to his teenage daughter.GET ENTERTAINMENT SCOOP DELIVERED RIGHT TO YOUR EMAIL BY CLICKING HEREThe family dynamic changed dramatically after Linda filed for divorce from Hulk in 2007 following more than two decades of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2009.Years later, Brooke became estranged from both parents, but she has made clear that her reasons for cutting contact with her mother were separate from the issues she had with her father.Brooke addressed the family rift directly in a lengthy Instagram statement on March 27, 2025, insisting she had not chosen one parent over the other.”No contact with my mom has nothing to do with my dad, and no contact with my father has nothing to do with my mother,” Brooke wrote. “I have completely separate reasons for going no contact with each of my parents.”HAYDEN PANETTIERE AND THE CHILD STARS WHOSE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR MOMAGERS TURNED COMPLICATEDIn the same statement, Brooke made serious allegations about her childhood and family relationships.”I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood,” she alleged. “Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes.”Brooke did not identify a specific person in that portion of her statement. She also claimed she had been put in the position of publicly defending behavior within her family before eventually questioning what she had been told.”I’ve been asked to defend poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love. Only to find I was misinformed, manipulated, and lied to,” she wrote.”I longed for a normal family, but it never came to fruition. I’ve repeatedly held my hand out to help them, only to have them pull me into the darkness with them.”She continued, “I’ve set boundaries that were not respected, which turned into a ‘no contact’ situation.”Her comments came after Linda publicly discussed the family’s troubles in March 2025, reigniting attention around their strained relationship. The conflict marked a dramatic departure from the image viewers were introduced to two decades earlier on “Hogan Knows Best.”Brooke was a teenager when the series premiered, with the show following her budding music career, dating life and her father’s famously protective parenting.WWE LEGEND HULK HOGAN’S DEATH REPORT RELEASEDIn the years that followed, the family relationships viewers once watched on television became increasingly strained, with some of those disputes eventually playing out in public. Her relationship with her father received renewed attention following his death on July 24, 2025.Hulk, born Terry Bollea, died at age 71 after being hospitalized for cardiac arrest.Hulk was survived by Brooke and Nick, whom he shared with Linda, as well as his wife, Sky Daily.Despite being estranged from her father when he died, Brooke made clear in an April interview with Fox News Digital that her love for him had never disappeared.”I’m honest with him now, and I talk to him all the time, even if that seems like I’m a cuckoo bird,” she told Fox News Digital. “If he showed up today, I would just be like, ‘I love you so much, and I wish you would have just let me in.’”Brooke also offered rare insight into why their relationship had become strained before his death.”[It’s] tough because, obviously, my dad and I weren’t really speaking prior to his death — not because I didn’t love him… it’s that he had become a little bit calloused in the direction he was going in his life and the people he was surrounding himself with,” she said.LIKE WHAT YOU’RE READING? And it’s kind of like, you can try to save somebody and if they don’t want to be saved… it’s a tough position to be in.”Her comments to Fox News Digital echoed what Brooke had emphasized in her March 2025 statement: distancing herself from her father did not mean she had sided with her mother, or vice versa.Fox News Digital’s Stephanie Giang-Paunon contributed to this report.
