Trump has attended numerous major sporting events during his second term and received an invitation from FIFA leadership to participate in the trophy ceremony following the tournament’s conclusion.
Spain’s victory denied Argentina a fourth World Cup title that would have matched Italy’s total, with Brazil remaining the all-time leader at five championships. The result likely marked Lionel Messi’s final World Cup appearance after a storied career in the tournament.
