The U.S. Secret Service acknowledged awareness of a video distributed by Iranian state media that appears to contain threats against Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump. Secret Service spokesman Nate Herring released a statement confirming the agency’s knowledge of the material and its ongoing investigation into the matter.

Herring stated that the agency “investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” while noting that operational security concerns prevent the disclosure of specific protective intelligence details. The confirmation came after the existence of the threat video had been previously reported by CNN.

Iranian state media outlets have repeatedly released threatening content targeting the president and his family members since the U.S. assassination of Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which occurred as Trump initiated military conflict in Iran in coordination with Israel. This latest video represents a continuation of that pattern of hostile messaging from Tehran-based media organizations.
