The incident occurred near the intersection of Interstate 75 and Royal Palm Boulevard, in the 2200 block of Shotgun Road, according to the Davie Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a possible drowning and discovered an excavator submerged in the pond. Rescue personnel, including specialized divers, successfully extracted the man from the water and transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
