The husband of Brooke Hanlon, a 35-year-old New Jersey woman found stabbed to death in June, has been regularly returning to the couple’s Chester home throughout the months-long investigation, according to neighborhood observations. Conor Hanlon, 36, arrives in a white Volvo SUV typically for Thursday-to-Friday visits, residents report, with multiple neighbors confirming sightings of the vehicle parked in the driveway during daytime hours.

Brooke Hanlon’s body was discovered inside the Pottersville Road residence on June 6, prompting the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office to classify the death as a homicide. The investigation remains active, though authorities have yet to identify any suspects or persons of interest in connection with the case.

During his visits to the property, Hanlon has been observed performing yard maintenance, neighbors say. However, residents note that his white SUV is never left overnight in the driveway, departing before nightfall on each visit to the residence.

On Friday, Hanlon made his first public statement regarding his wife’s death, telling the Daily Mail that his “heart is totally shattered.” When asked directly about involvement in her death, he responded, “Of course not,” and characterized the situation as “a tragedy” before declining to comment further pending the ongoing investigation.

The lack of progress in the case has left neighbors increasingly anxious about their own safety. One gun-owning resident told Fox News Digital in July that he remains vigilant and prepared to protect his family given that a potential killer may still be at large in the community.

Law enforcement has not disclosed substantial updates in the investigation since Hanlon’s discovery. Approximately three weeks before her death, police reportedly conducted door-to-door inquiries along Pottersville Road following a 911 call made to the area.

Conor Hanlon has not been charged with any crime or publicly accused of wrongdoing in connection with his wife’s death.
