Mustafa Ali successfully defended his TNA International Championship against Jason Hotch during the promotion’s Lockdown event, reclaiming the title he had lost to his rival weeks earlier. The match featured escalating brutality as both competitors fought beyond the confines of the cage, with Ali ultimately pinning Hotch following a 450 splash to secure victory.

The feud between the two wrestlers intensified when Hotch initially captured the International Championship from Ali before losing it back at Lockdown. During their cage encounter, Ali employed psychological tactics that shifted momentum in his favor, including an incident where he seized a stuffed animal belonging to Hotch’s daughter in the stands and threatened to ignite it.

Hotch produced one of the evening’s most memorable moments when he executed a massive crossbody dive from the cage structure onto Ali, sending both competitors crashing through a table below. Despite the spectacular nature of the spot, the maneuver failed to secure victory for Hotch.

Ali’s successful defense marks the beginning of his second reign as International Champion. He had previously held the title for 110 days before Hotch’s initial championship victory earlier in the summer.
