TNA Lockdown 2026 Returns to Chicago With Steel Cage Showdowns

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling will stage its Lockdown event Sunday evening at the Credit Union Arena in Chicago, marking a significant return for the promotion. The event had not taken place since 2016 and will make its debut as a pay-per-view offering since 2014, distinguishing itself as one of wrestling’s most distinctive annual spectacles.

The steel cage stipulation defines every bout on the card, creating opportunities for extraordinary and violent moments throughout the evening. The broadcast begins at 5 p.m. ET on TNA+, with pre-show matches available at no cost across the company’s digital channels.

Avery Styles, son of WWE and TNA legend A.J. Styles, will appear at the event, TNA confirmed Saturday, though his specific role remains undisclosed. The emerging wrestler has begun his professional career with limited Game Changer Wrestling appearances to date.

The Hardys will defend their world tag team championship against brothers Nic and Michin Nemeth in a high-stakes encounter. Should the Nemeths prevail, Nic would hold both the world and tag team titles simultaneously. The Hardys captured their fifth reign at Slammiversary in June.

Allie must secure a mystery partner to defend the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship opposite The Elegance Brand, as Rosemary remains unavailable. Allie and Rosemary won the titles under their DemonXBunny moniker at Slammiversary.

Jason Hotch, who unexpectedly captured the TNA International Championship from Mustafa Ali weeks ago on Impact, faces a rematch with the determined challenger seeking retribution inside the steel cage.

Frankie Kazarian and Moose will face off for the first time in an Escape the Cage match, with victory going to whichever competitor exits first. The encounter marks a historic first meeting between two long-tenured TNA competitors.

Cedric Alexander will defend the X Division Championship against Leon Slater under a unique stipulation: a loss erases Slater’s previous title reign from company records. Alexander ended Slater’s bid to become the longest-reigning X Division champion when he captured the belt.

The System—Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson and Alisha Edwards—will engage Ricky Sosa, Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro and Jada Stone in Lethal Lockdown, a mixed team match marking the stipulation’s first appearance in a decade. The bout promises heightened violence as men and women combine forces.

Xia Brookside will put the Knockouts World Championship on the line against Elayna Black, who competes in her hometown. Brookside has emphasized her intent to make an immediate impact during her championship reign.
