Patrick Clancy, a Microsoft sales executive, has quietly built a new life hundreds of miles from the Massachusetts home where his ex-wife killed their three children. Clancy relocated to New York City in spring 2023, just months after the January 2023 deaths, and married Dr. Rachel Danis in a Central Park ceremony in spring 2026, according to records obtained by the New York Post. Danis moved into his Upper East Side apartment in 2025, and the couple shares a passion for hiking and fitness.

Lindsay Clancy, 36, stands trial on three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan, all under age 6, who were found strangled in their Duxbury home. The prosecution rested its case Monday morning, with the defense now presenting arguments that Clancy suffered from postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings. Clancy filed for divorce from Lindsay in February 2024.

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington acknowledged Clancy’s difficult circumstances during court proceedings. “How that guy is not an emotional basketcase is beyond me, and he is trying hard to move on with his life,” Reddington told the court, noting that Clancy is now divorced and remarried with a family.

Danis, who has spoken publicly about her desire to become a mother, froze her eggs and discussed the emotional toll on women balancing career and fertility on a podcast in September 2024. She and Patrick Clancy have no children together, according to available information.

Patrick Clancy testified in his ex-wife’s trial, describing each child with visible emotion. He recalled that Cora enjoyed princesses and helping others, Callan was “just a happy baby,” and Dawson loved the television show Paw Patrol and firefighter trucks.

Patrick Clancy and family members founded the Heard Foundation to support parents facing perinatal mental illness, established in memory of the three deceased children. Just days after the killings in January 2023, Clancy wrote on a GoFundMe page asking others to forgive Lindsay, describing her as “generously loving and caring” and expressing hope she would find peace.

Chaplain Sheila Cavanaugh testified Thursday that during a visit with Lindsay Clancy on January 31, 2023, days after the killings, Clancy told her “I am so glad my children are safe.” Cavanaugh responded that the children were safe in heaven with God, and the two prayed together.
