A heated on-court confrontation between two of the WNBA’s brightest young stars punctuated the first half Thursday night as the Dallas Wings defeated the Indiana Fever 91-85. With under 10 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Paige Bueckers wrapped Clark’s left arm while defending as the shot clock wound down, drawing an official’s whistle for a common foul.

The defensive play sparked immediate tension between the guards. Clark appeared visibly frustrated by the contact and responded by firing the ball down the court in Bueckers’ direction before both teams retreated to their respective locker rooms. The two exchanged words afterward, though broadcast audio failed to capture their remarks.

The friction continued into the second half, where Bueckers was assessed a technical foul after disputing a separate call against Clark in the third quarter. The rivalry has intensified following the teams’ matchup the previous week, when both players posted identical 29-point performances in Indiana’s 98-87 victory.

Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 32 points while Bueckers distributed eight assists. Kelsey Mitchell paced Indiana with 37 points, and Clark contributed nine team-high assists in the losing effort.
