Authorities in Miami-Dade County confirmed that a fatal shooting occurred early Tuesday morning in the vicinity of Laura C. Saunders Elementary School in Homestead. According to a detective who spoke with Local 10 News, the incident took place near the intersection of Southwest Sixth Street and 328th Avenue.
Law enforcement personnel secured the scene as their investigation proceeded. A yellow tarp was placed over the victim’s body, and police cordoned off the surrounding area with tape. The shooting location sat near multiple commercial establishments, including a food mart and a beauty supply outlet.
