The New York Police Department arrested Larry Montes, 46, a resident of the Bronx, in connection with an incident at Central Synagogue. Montes faces two counts of assault motivated by hate crimes, along with charges of criminal mischief as a hate crime and additional criminal counts stemming from the disturbance.
The arrest followed Montes’ disruption of religious services at the Manhattan house of worship. Authorities responded to the incident and took Montes into custody, with the NYPD investigating the circumstances that led to the alleged assault and property damage.
