Rams Receiver Nacua Walks Into Glass at Rubin’s Hamptons Party, Faces Groin Injury Concerns

Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua’s problematic offseason took another unusual turn when he struck an invisible glass pane while attending Michael Rubin’s exclusive White Party in the Hamptons. Nacua disclosed the incident during an appearance on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, explaining that he was conversing with Olympic gymnast Suni Lee when he spotted Snoop Dogg and turned to locate teammate Davante Adams. The collision left him bleeding from the face.

Nacua acknowledged the glass was nearly imperceptible and joked that “the glass window pane won” the encounter. He revealed that three other attendees similarly walked into the same pane, though he was the only one who sustained bleeding from the mishap. The Fanatics founder’s meticulous window maintenance inadvertently created a hazard at the celebrity gathering.

The window incident represents only the latest complication in Nacua’s tumultuous summer. The All-Pro receiver faces a civil lawsuit stemming from a New Year’s Eve incident involving allegations that he bit a woman’s shoulder and made an antisemitic remark, claims his legal team disputes while characterizing the contact as “horseplay.” He previously apologized in December after making a gesture associated with antisemitic stereotypes during a livestream and subsequently attended a personal development facility.

Additional family turmoil emerged when Nacua’s brother Samson was arrested after mistakenly taking an SUV he believed belonged to Puka. Investigators determined the incident was a genuine mix-up, and charges were not filed against Samson. The NFL is reportedly reviewing Nacua’s overall conduct, with potential disciplinary action under consideration.

Nacua’s physical availability also drew concern this week when he departed Tuesday’s joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys early due to groin soreness and sat out Thursday’s session. Rams Coach Sean McVay indicated the team was exercising caution and expected Nacua to return for competition next week. The 2024 season represents the final year of Nacua’s rookie contract following a standout 2023 campaign in which he led the NFL with 129 receptions and finished second with 1,715 receiving yards.
