The “Dancing with the Stars” co-host, 38, documented a recent vacation to Sardinia, Italy, where she spent time with close friends exploring the Mediterranean island’s beaches, villages, and coastal landscapes. Hough posted multiple images from the girls’ getaway on social media, capturing moments of leisure and adventure throughout the trip. The excursion provided her with a break before resuming her duties with the long-running competition series.
Among the vacation photos, Hough appeared in several beachwear ensembles, including a white string bikini paired with black sunglasses and a white mesh headscarf as she reclined on a beach chair overlooking the water. A second image showed her in a dark string bikini and coordinating wrap, seated on a lounge chair beneath a shaded canopy with sweeping views of the rocky shoreline. The settings featured crystal-blue waters and beachgoers enjoying the shoreline in the background.
Hough incorporated fitness into her itinerary, sharing a photo of herself practicing yoga on a wooden deck overlooking the sea. She also traded casual attire for a glamorous appearance in a strapless coral-pink gown with a fitted bodice and voluminous skirt, posed along a picturesque village street lined with stone buildings and terracotta roofs. The outfit was completed with a statement gold necklace and strappy heels.
Through her social media posts, Hough reflected on the slower pace of life experienced during the trip and its impact on her perspective regarding career ambitions. “I love my work and my ambition, but when I’m older, I’d rather be the grandmother with stories to tell than wonder if I hustled more than I lived,” she wrote. She credited the accommodations and Italian culture with encouraging her to prioritize experiences and relationships over constant professional pursuits.
Hough joined “Dancing with the Stars” as a professional dancer in 2007 and has since transitioned to roles as both judge and co-host. In an interview with People magazine in May, she discussed the show’s resilience over two decades, attributing its success to maintaining authenticity and focus on transformation. “When you stay in authenticity and integrity of what this show is — which is craftsmanship, just rooting for people to grow and succeed — that’s timeless,” she said.
