Kelce Embraces Chiefs Training Camp as ‘Sanctuary’ Following High-Profile Swift Wedding

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has long viewed the team’s annual training camp as a personal refuge, citing the peaceful drive to Missouri Western State University and the quiet of dormitory living during the month-long grind. This year, that respite proved especially valuable following one of the summer’s most talked-about celebrity events.

Just over a month before arriving at camp, Kelce married pop superstar Taylor Swift in an elaborate wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden attended by an elite mix of sports and entertainment figures. The event featured actor Adam Sandler as officiant, a performance by Stevie Nicks, and a guest list that included Bradley Cooper, Hugh Grant, Chris Rock, Steven Spielberg, and numerous NFL personalities including retired quarterback Tom Brady.

“The wedding was the best night of my life,” Kelce said during his first public comments at camp on Wednesday. “I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us.” The ceremony fulfilled a long-held personal dream for Kelce to host an event at the iconic New York venue where Swift has performed numerous sold-out shows.
