Eric Leon Wilson, 48, was taken into custody last week following allegations that he exposed himself to two children at a North Miami Beach residential complex. Officers responded to the scene Friday evening after receiving a complaint about indecent exposure involving minors present at the location.

According to authorities, the two victims—ages 10 and 17—reported that they encountered Wilson in a hallway near his unit at approximately 8:45 p.m. while disposing of trash. The children stated that Wilson stood watching them from down the corridor with his red shorts pulled down and his genitals exposed in what police characterized as lewd and lascivious behavior.

Frightened by the encounter, the minors declined to return past Wilson’s apartment and instead took an alternative route outside to reach their own units. As they walked along the building’s exterior, both children reported seeing Wilson observing them from his balcony, the arrest report indicates.

Apartment complex surveillance footage corroborated the children’s accounts, showing Wilson watching them during the trash removal and displaying exposed genitals. The 17-year-old victim also provided photographic evidence obtained during the incident that helped identify the suspect.

When police initially approached Wilson outside his residence, he claimed to have just returned from work. Following his Miranda rights advisement, Wilson consented to questioning but consistently denied any interaction with the minors, reiterating that he had arrived home from employment.

The 17-year-old additionally informed investigators that Wilson had watched her from the parking lot on two previous occasions while she was inside her bedroom, though she could not specify dates or times for those incidents. The 10-year-old provided a recorded statement to officers, while the older victim submitted a written account.

Wilson faces charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child, indecent exposure, and disorderly conduct with breach of the peace. Records show that as of Monday morning, he remained detained at Metrowest Detention Center with bond set at $8,650.
