The Colorado Buffaloes have once again become the target of social media criticism regarding the physical stature of their roster. A video posted by the program’s official account during fall camp practice sparked widespread mockery, with online commenters questioning how a Power 4 program could field such a visibly undersized group of athletes compared to major college football standards.

The scrutiny echoes concerns that emerged during the team’s spring game earlier this year, when observers noted the lack of size across the roster. With college football dormant for several months at that time, Colorado’s physical makeup became a focal point of fan discussion and analysis across social media platforms.

Coach Prime’s strength and conditioning program has faced particular scrutiny as the team prepares for the 2026 season. Despite an entire offseason in the weight room, the roster’s appearance in recent practice footage suggests limited progress in adding bulk and muscle mass to compete at the elite level.

The Buffaloes are projected to finish at or near the bottom of the Big 12 Conference standings. Quarterback Julian Lewis, a former five-star recruit, represents one of the few proven returning assets, though the team’s physical limitations may hinder offensive efficiency regardless of his talent level.
