A severe weather system swept through Queens, leaving a trail of destruction that included at least two automobiles pinned beneath fallen trees. The storm’s intensity brought down multiple trees across various neighborhoods, creating hazardous conditions for residents and commuters throughout the borough.
Emergency responders worked to clear debris and assess damage from the weather event. Authorities confirmed additional tree falls were reported across New York City, though the full extent of damage was still being evaluated as cleanup efforts continued.
