Kandi Krush has emerged as one of the most dominant forces on the Women of Wrestling roster, currently competing as part of the group Top Tier alongside Coach Campanelli. The trio previously held the WOW World Trios Championship before internal conflict led to significant roster changes within the faction.
Krush’s path to professional wrestling success was anything but straightforward. The athlete initially pursued synchronized swimming at an elite level with aspirations of competing in the Olympics, but injuries combined with what she characterized as a toxic training environment derailed those ambitions. Rather than accept defeat, she pivoted toward professional boxing and compiled an undefeated record as a professional competitor.
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted Krush’s boxing career when lockdowns closed training facilities nationwide. During this period of reflection, she recognized her passion for performing before live audiences and reconsidered her professional direction. Inspired by Dwayne Johnson’s wrestling film appearances, she decided to pursue professional wrestling despite having minimal prior exposure to the sport.
Krush attended a Women of Wrestling tryout with extraordinary commitment, arriving before co-founder David McLane and remaining after all other candidates departed. Her relentless work ethic and determination to prove skeptics wrong earned her a roster spot, and she rapidly ascended through WOW’s ranks by studying wrestling history and mastering the technical and performance aspects of the sport.
The performer credits her mother’s influence and a personal philosophy rooted in perseverance for her competitive success. During an early title opportunity, a young fan’s encouragement helped Krush continue fighting despite physical exhaustion, reinforcing her mission to inspire others through her athletic achievements and public presence.
Women of Wrestling, co-founded and co-owned by Los Angeles Lakers minority owner Jeanie Buss, streams episodes on Tubi and Vice TV. The organization recently relocated its fifth season from Las Vegas to L.A. Live in Los Angeles, with Buss emphasizing the company’s commitment to providing women athletes with visibility and respect in professional sports entertainment.
