Kurt Dillon, M.A., M.S.
Founder / CEO / Editor-in-Chief / Chief Legal Analyst
Kurt holds two Master’s degrees from Columbia University—one in Journalism, one in Forensic Psychology—to the Florida Sun Journal, blending razor-sharp reporting with an uncanny read on human motives. With 27 years in journalism and 29 practicing forensic psychology, he’s covered high-stakes trials, local scandals, and quiet community wins across Tampa Bay. A longtime Floridian, Kurt’s the guy who’ll dissect a story like evidence in a courtroom—then grab a sunset walk on Clearwater Beach to unwind. When he’s not writing, he’s analyzing cases or debating ethics over coffee. Kurt is also the Founder/Host of several very popular political and true crime podcasts. He is married and has 8 children.
Kurt loves cooking, saving animals, perusing court transcripts, baseball, football, and exposing unscrupulous politicians. He also loves all things related to true crime. In 2025, Kurt acquired ownership of the long-defunct Florida Sun-Journal; the rest, as they say, is history.
